Ruthie B was my mom.  She taught me how to sew as soon as I could hold and thread a needle.  I don’t remember not being able to sew.  In 2010 my oldest daughter, a preschool teacher, asked if I could find a way to turn a stuffed animal into blanket storage.  After trying a zipper and then Velcro I settled on an overlap.  And Smuggleez were born.  The design was copyrighted in 2010.  Each Smuggleez© is handmade to match the child’s favorite thing or nursery theme with a crib size blanket to match.
